Inspiration and Education

  About Eric Bellman

Omar khayam once said;
"mysely when young did eagerly frequent
Doctor and saint, and heard great argument
 About it and about: but evermore
came out by the eame door as in I went.

Or;
Live your life and learn some lessons
piece by piece solve puzzles in sessions
dance your dance and integrate
the parts of self to love not hate
and feel the moment before too late
so we can let go of regret
for each individual life
ia a ripple in a pond and a world's
sunrise and your sweet sunset.

 Eric is married with 3 children and a bunch of grandchildren
 and is a psychotherapist,
licensed as a clinical social worker for over 25 years.
During this time he has worked at "downtown" psych units
and "uptown" renown hospitals such as Woodview Calabasas,
where he was a Chief of Social Work Staff and head intake officer.
It was the private sector work, and the 1980's,
that inspired him to
combine public and private sector interfaces in
 Juvenile Justice Diversion,and
school violence prevention programs,
as well as innovative treatment programs
for abused women,
drug addiction and Post traumatic Stress Syndrome.
For this work he received a Commendation and Award of Merit from l.A County,
and Certificates of Tribute and Appreciation from the L.A City Council
and the Mayor,Tom bradley among others.
He has also been a State Commissioner for the Licensure Exam,
and a Mentor for the Clinical Society of Social Work in CA
and is A.B.E national Board Certified.
Looking back at his work, he states;
"It always seemed like the right thing to do at the time" ,
and "I hope the ideas on this website will help others,
which is what it's really all about".

       Consider the
 "windows" or moments of peace,
       and the clarity we experience in quiet contemplation.
       Now  examine our individual "ego" struggles,
       with neurons firing up and stimulating the brain,
       we experience such wide swings of mood
       and intense internal emotional conflicts.
       Reality can be so subjective,
       in the flow of our experience as individuals.
        Yet we are so fortunate,
       in other parts parts of the world,
       people face starvation and the effects of wars,
       and live in refugee camps.
         Thus, some of us are occasionally{throughout history}
       given moments when it is possible
       to ponder more than survival.
       These are also opportunities to
       really consider ways to help each other and our world.
       Let's cooperate to give light and heal and help each other,
       in whatever small ways we can participate.
